Purchase vs. Customer vs. Transaction

We often see coupons that say "One per purchase" and cashiers assume that you can only use one. This isn't true. Here is a breakdown of what each coupon means.

One per purchase
One per purchase, as seen on this coupon, means that for each item you buy, you can use ONE coupon. If you purchase 3, you can use 3 coupons. Unless your store policy states otherwise, you can use as many of these as you want at one time.

This coupon, however, states one per purchase AND 4 per shopping trip. This means you can use 4 one time.

One per person per transaction
One per person per transaction means that you can only use ONE coupon for that item. If you buy 3, you can only use one coupon.
