purifyou Reusable Produce Bags ... Save the environment and your produce!

In the last few years, I've really tried to do my part to protect the environment.  I recycle when I can, I pay attention to what kind of packaging items come in, and try to use reusable bags when I can.

I was recently provided with a set of purifyou Premium Reusable Produce Bags to try out.

They came in a sealed envelope inside a box from Amazon with some other stuff.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the envelope.

The bags are made of premium mesh polyester and come in 3 sizes with color coded tags.  Included in the set are two 12x17'' bags, five 12x14'' bags, and two 12x8'' bags.

The big bags (12x17"), with a purple label, are good for items like green onions, leeks, and celery.

The medium bags (12x14") with a blue or green label are great for onions, bell pepper, cucumbers, squash, and most other produce.

The small bags (12x8") with a yellow label are great for small items like tomatoes, jalapenos, or even bulk almonds or the like.

The best thing about these bags are they are machine washable.  Just don't throw them in the dryer.

I imagine you can use these for all sorts of things.  Wet clothes and beach toys come to mind as they're airy enough that it won't hold water.

I did receive these free of charge in exchange for my honest, unbiased review and all opinions are my own.  I was not compensated in any way for this blog post or my Amazon review.

Great excuse for a nap!

I was recently given the opportunity to review a shredded memory foam pillow with a bamboo cover made and sold by Satellas.

If you've never tried a memory foam pillow, I highly recommend it! I struggle with migraines and learned a couple of years ago that a memory foam pillow greatly reduced my headaches.  I started with a $10 one from Wal-mart.  It has worked great but I was definitely due for a new one when the opportunity came to review this one.

When the pillow arrived from Amazon, it was enclosed in a handy travel bag.
I knew if it was a king-sized pillow like the Amazon listing showed, it would need time to "decompress" before being okay to use.
Sure enough, it took about 4 hours and a little help to completely take the shape of a pillow.  Do not...I repeat DO NOT think you can help it along by opening the inner layer and breaking up the shredded memory foam yourself.  It makes a HUGE mess.  Don't ask me how I know...just trust me!
If I had it to do all over again, I would simply go through the case to separate the shreds.  It would have been much neater and less hassle of trying to get all those bitty pieces of foam cleaned up off the couch, the floor, my arms, the pillow, the coffee table, out of my hair...well...you get it, right!

I put a pillowcase on it, made up a reason to take a nap, and tried it out.  Best sleep I've had in weeks!  The difference between a regular memory foam pillow and the shredded one is remarkable!  I was so in love with it, that I had my husband test it out as well.  He loved it too and insisted he wanted one.  I ordered a different one for him so we can compare them.
I highly recommend these pillows if you suffer from migraines.  They are also beneficial for snoring husbands, people with insomnia, asthma, neck, shoulder and back pain as well as TMJ.
My son has requested a pillow as well after snuggling with me while watching a movie.  I will eventually replace all of the pillows in the house with them.
I received this product at a deep discount in exchange for an honest, unbiased review and all opinions are my own.  I received no other compensation for this blog post or my review on Amazon.

There prices on basic staples (rice, flour, sugar, pasta, etc) are far lower than any other store including Walmart. When I shop, Joe V's, I pick up the basics while I'm there to keep from paying higher prices elsewhere.
